Mario Armando Lavandeira, Jr. was born on March 23, 1978 in Miami, Florida. Mario is otherwise known as Perez Hilton. His nickname derived from Paris Hilton’s name, whom he has befriended. Perez is a TV personality and an American blogger. He is known for his blog which posts racy and negative photos of celebrities. Perez also posts gossip and rumors about celebs and their personal lives, such as musicians, actors and other famous people.
In 2002, Perez moved out to Los Angeles, California. Undeniably, Perez wants to be a part of the celebrity scene. He spends his time “outing” celebrities and events that happen in their personal life. Perez is also openly homosexual. There have been occasions where Perez has received a taste of his own medicine by embarrassing himself and getting caught right in the middle of his own rumors that he has started and posting fake photos of people, like Jennifer Aniston. It has reached as far as Black Eyed Peas singer, Fergie, writing a song making fun of him in 2006. Perez has been the target for many lawsuits and controversial issues. Hilton says that he started blogging because it was easy and he has now come out with a book entitled “The Bloggywood Stories: The Glamorous Life of Beating, Cheating, and Overdosing.” All though Hilton is not a very well liked man and his website is the most hated website among celebrities, he does produce a lot of hits and heavy traffic on his website.
