Perez Hilton, born Mario Armando Lavandeira, Jr., is a well-known American blogger who is unashamed to admit he is gay. He is famous for his self-named website, Perezhilton.com which is notoriously famous for posting pictures and blogging about celebrity's personal lives. Hilton's parents, Mario and Teresita Lavandeira, are originally from Cuba. He was born in March of 1978 and raised in Florida. While attending school, he learned English and graduated from the Miami Belen Jesuit Prep School in 96. Hilton has one younger sister, Barbara, who was born six years after him.
Prior to his blogging, Hilton graduated from NYU in 2000. He then decided to try out his acting skills. He worked as a freelance gay publications writer, a receptionist at an NYC club called Urban Outings and was, for a short time, the head editor for the magazine, Instinct. PageSixSixSix.com, the original name for Perezhilton.com, was and is still called "Hollywood's Most Hated Website" by Insider magazine.
In addition to exposing celebrity secrets, Perez's website continually pokes fun at celebrity's appearances and styles by leaving little balloon letters, cartoons and such on pictures he finds. Aside from the gossip blogging and celebrity name bashing, he sometimes adds pictures of himself with celebs and blogs about his outings to parties, clubs and a few private events in California.
