When it comes to the sport of rodeo, there are so many different kinds of categories of competitions that it is just amazing. For example, there is bull riding, saddle bronco riding, bare back riding, barrels, steer wrestling, calf roping and mutton busting.
Then, of course, there are the rodeo clowns that you will see at every rodeo around the world. The purpose of the rodeo clown, especially during bull riding, is to keep the animal away from the rider or riders, so as to make sure that they are safe. Being a rodeo clown is a very risky business to be in. The most favorite category of a rodeo is the bull riding competition.
There are people that will travel all around the world to see an event such as this, and then there are also people that will participate in bull riding that come from countries all around the world. The idea of bull riding is that the cowboy or cowgirl is to stay on for a total of eight seconds. They are not allowed to touch the bull in any sort of way, if they do so, then they will be disqualified. Then the cowboy or cowgirl with the highest score wins. When it comes to the other category, it is pretty much the same, whoever has the highest score will win the cash prize.
A rodeo is a great place to take your whole family to see people compete in a manner that is different from the social norm.
